About Me

Simon

I’m Simon and I’ve been passionate about travelling for a few years now. With this in mind, I would like to tell you something about me and my experiences here. Not only do I look forward to discovering new destinations, but also to getting to know other cultures and marvelling at the beauty of the world. During my travels, which have taken me to the beaches of Central America and the Greek islands, among other places, I have collected unforgettable memories and experiences. In short, these trips have shaped me and enriched my view of the world.

I have been intensively involved in photography for a number of years, and it gives me great pleasure to capture the breathtaking beauty of the world through the lens of my camera. I also like to capture my travel experiences and my enthusiasm for sport in photos and videos. In 2021 to 2022, I completed a CAS in photography to improve my skills and deepen my knowledge. In short, this training has not only expanded my technical skills, but also enriched my creative perspective.

Education

My journey into the world of IT began with an apprenticeship as a computer scientist, followed by intensive IT training at a university of applied sciences. The thirst for knowledge then led me to study for a bachelor's degree at a university of applied sciences. To further my creative streak, I later completed a CAS in photography.

Realisation

During my first few years on the helpdesk, I quickly realised that my interest and skills were pushing me towards more complex technical challenges and a deeper understanding of technology. This realisation was the turning point that motivated me to continue my education and focus on specialised areas of IT.

Change of Focus to Linux

I discovered my fascination for Linux systems during my bachelor's degree. The switch to Linux was not only a professional decision, but also a personal preference that allowed me to immerse myself in an essential and exciting area of computer science. Working with Linux systems also showed me how important these systems are as a basis for future topics and technologies.

Knowledge

My professional expertise is broad and diverse. I have gained extensive experience in areas such as Ansible, Linux base systems, container technologies as well as web and database servers. These skills enable me to develop and optimise complex IT solutions.

Meine Vorhaben

Ich bin immer auf der Suche nach neuen Herausforderungen und Projekten, um meine Fähigkeiten und Kenntnisse weiterzuentwickeln. Aktuell liegt mein Fokus auf verschiedenen Bereichen wie Fotografie, Videografie, Technologie und persönlicher Entwicklung. Ich bin stets bemüht, meine Expertise in diesen Bereichen auszubauen und neue Möglichkeiten zu erkunden. Durch meine Leidenschaft für diese Themen bin ich motiviert, kontinuierlich zu lernen und mich weiterzuentwickeln.
